Employment Opportunities

The following opportunities are available through Details In Design in our USA workrooms.

 

 

Hand Embroider - Work from home as a contracted embroiderer. Requirements include whitework embroidery skills and enrolling in our hand embroidery training program. We have particular skills, techniques and requirements that must be followed in order to qualify as one of our professional embroiderers.

Hand Hemstitcher - Work from home as a contracted professional hemstitcher. Requirements include fine hand sewing skills and the ability to be accurate with precise measurements. We will also be offering a training program for those interested in this type of work. If you already have the required skills, please contact us.

Linen Workroom Assistant - Assistant to the designer in our Williamsburg workrooms. Position requires knowledge of textiles, hand sewing, embroidery and lay out skills. Must have strong organizational abilities and capable of meeting deadlines. Altar guild or sacristan background would be helpful for this position but not necessary.

Linen Restoration Assistant - Assistant to the designer in restoring antique and old linens. Position requires knowledge of estate linens and antique lace, hand sewing skills, embroidery styles. Must be detail oriented and enjoy working with fine textiles. Position requires that assistant work in our Williamsburg workrooms. This is an apprenticeship program.
