A 9 day masters class in the art of Linen Making. A set of altar linens will be created during this intensive. The set will include a handmade linen pall, a corporal, lavabo towel, and purificator This master course can accommodate up to 4 people.
This is a full immersion course to obtain professional level results in making handmade linens. Included in the course will be cutting techniques, pulling threads, basting, hemstitching, mitering accurate corners. Small hand embroidery. All Materials Included.
A 6 day masters class in the art of Altar Cloth/Fair Linen Making. Irish Linen yardage included - (size of your altar will be needed to provide proper yardage amount) You will learn how to pre-shrink linen, pull threads, learn perfect cutting techniques, basting, learn how to make perfect mitered corner every time, professional ironing skills. This course can accommodate up to 2 people from the same church.
A 23 day master apprentice course. This is a combination of making a set of communion linens, pall, purificator, lavabo towel, and corporal set. You will also be immersed in learning church needlework skills. These can be customized depending upon needlework knowledge and skill. Learn needlework that is focused upon making altar linens: Basic Embroidery, Whitework Embroidery, and Sacred Monograms & Crosses. This is a full immersion course. The apprenticeship can acommodate a group of 4 with arrangements to stay at the Historic Powhatan Resort. This course is also taught one on one with private accommodations included.

hand embroidered cross in a simple style. You will learn how to embroider this simple motif as well as layout and transfer the design onto your linens.
