A two day class exploring the Basics for fine hand embroidery on altar linens. The class will focus upon particular stitches used in fine hand embroidered motifs found on Altar Linens and Altar Cloths.
The class provides a sampler with motifs focusing upon foundation stitches used in fine linen embroidery. Although basic and simple, we assist the embroiderer to focus upon perfecting their stitches to an excellent standard.
Perfect for Beginners to experienced embroiderers.

A Two Day class in the techniques of whitework embroidery. This is key to beautiful embroidered linens for the Altar. The class will focus upon particular stitches and perfecting techniques used in making fine Altar Linens and Altar Cloths. We will also explore the transferring of motifs onto fine linen.
This class builds upon the Basic embroidery class - we recommend basic embroidery as a prerequisite to whitework.

A Day Class on fine hand embroidered Sacred Crosses. You will be using the basics and whitework to accomplish this. We will explore the finer techniques in mastering this style of hand embroidery especially focusing upon the embroidery found on altar linens.
A sampler is provided with 3 traditional cross motifs in 3 sizes to explore and practice in our two evening sessions.

A Two Day Class - Learn to pull threads, develop basic hemstitching techniques, and mitering perfect corners. In this class you will create a small fine linen purificator. By the end of the class, you will have accomplished beautiful classic techniques in fine linen making.
