Traditional Latin Mass Linen Collection
It has come to our attention that many churches are seeking handmade linens for the traditional Latin mass. We have now created a collection of linens that are in alignment with the traditional requirements offered at the mass.
We hope to better serve this aspect of the church by offering hand crafted linens, hand embroidery, and beautiful hand sewn lace trims for all your altar linen needs. Please contact us for inquiries and orders.
Traditional Altar Cloths
Please specify the finished sizes of your linen, that would include in your measurements your preferred hem widths. For Altar and Credence cloths it is helpful to know the top of the altar or table top measurement. We will give you pricing by phone, email, or a formal written estimate sent by email attachment. Once the estimate is approved, an invoice will be sent to the church for prepayment of the order.
In this collection you can have your choice of machine stitched or fine hand hemstitched linens. No matter which you choose, you will have a finely crafted linen that should last for many years. Our trained linen specialists and hand embroiderers create the most perfect heirloom quality linen for your sacristy collection.
Old World Skill Requires Old World Time
Please note that creating linens in the old world tradition, means we are not fast in production. We are however, accurate and precise in creating authentic high quality traditional linens that will last for many years. Fine linen is an investment for the Church and therefore hope and trust you will be patient in our process.
Traditional Hand Crafted Linens
Our optical white pure linen is preshrunk and precision cut to your specification. Each linen is hand crafted using hand sewing and machine stitching techniques that create perfect results. These machine stitched linens are made in less time than our signature hand hemstitched linens. They are still beautifully crafted and will last many years to come.
Hand Hemstitching
Our workroom offers hand drawn hemstitched linens that are entirely crafted by hand. We personally train all of our linen specialists that receive a master linen maker certificate from our school of embroidery. Our Irish linen is preshrunk and precision cut to your specifications. Each linen begins with drawing out a thread from the weave, precision cut to size, and then meticulously hand hemstitched in the Old World European tradition. All corners are hand - mitered and sewn to perfection.
Hand Sewn Lace Trims
Once an altar cloth has been created, we can also hand sew your choice of beautiful European lace trims onto your finished linen. Our collection of lace trims are all cotton and traditionally woven on looms. This is an excellent alternative to hand embroidery.
Hand Embroidery Services
Fine hand embroidery is available for an additional charge based upon the complexity of the design. If you have your own design we can work your motif into a line drawing that can then be used for hand embroidery. We can even copy older motifs from sacristy collections.
